The role of IDCAS is to foster a better learning environment within the third level education system so that students can not only obtain high grades but also enjoy the learning experience along the way. IDCAS caters for all subjects taught at university level with the exception of healthcare related disciplines. The latter are managed by the IHRI which IDCAS have a partnership arrangement with.

Below is a list of the various services which, the IDCAS provides.

Education

Advisory services to qualified professionals

Professional Advocacy

Open/public meetings for the transparent advancement of the education system
Publicity of new national and internationally operated services through the use of the councils bi-monthly newletter.

International Health Research Institute (IHRI) is a professional body established to encourage good working practices within healthcare-related employment and the medical research industries. We encourage inter-professional team building in line with various guidelines set out by both national and global organisations. It is our belief that professionalism within the health services starts at the university educational level and continues onward by the use of Continued Professional Development programmes (CPD). We wish to aim our efforts at ensuring that students and newly qualified graduates come out with the best quality of degree, one with theory and considerable practical experience combined.

The institute currently provides various free services to other established research groups in the areas of genetics, biochemistry and zoology. As an organisation we are proud of our commitment to detail on every project so far and now wish to attempt to create student placements in whatever we become involved in during the future. This would create an additional learning environment outside of the lecture theatre, thus providing further work experience early on in a career in order to produce highly qualified and experienced healthcare professionals.
