ETDA Seminar (October 2010)
ETDA have reported that this event as a sucess with many benificial outcomes obtained through it.
For this seminar the European Technology Development Association decided to focus mainly on the topic of 3-dimensional internet services. For information regarding IDCAS 3D visit www.idcas.org/3D.
The implementation of stable 3D technology for the academic sector was discussed in great detail and all of the talks were broadcast to remote participants using both the Education 3D Grid (Edu3DGrid.com) and AtMeeting Grid services.
Integration of the IDCAS Central Account System portal with such technology in the future was a huge topic during the day including discussion as to the exact security policies which would need to be applied to such a service bridge.
Other issues were discussed though including the future of the Internet in terms of ICANN policies, whois management, new DNS TLD’s and vertical integration for domain supply purposes.
