Irish Internet Association NetVisionary Awards
Notification has been received from the Irish Internet Association that Mark Bannon is nominated for two of its Net Visionary Awards this year. The first being for Technology Innovation and the second being the use of technology for Social Contribution purposes.
Innovation Award
The Net Visionary Innovation Award recognises that the convergence of internet technologies and business ideas can create a specific new perspective on how business and administration in Ireland is conducted. Nominations to this award are for individuals who have developed a new technology or new use of an existing technology in an innovative way. In addition, the innovation should have a commercial aspect to it and have resulted in a new business generated.
Social Contribution
IIA Net Visionary Social Contribution Award recognises that the development of the economy in terms of technology is inclusive to all segments of Irish society. Nominations are for individuals who have either used technology to address specific social or educational needs or campaigned on issues relating to the inclusion of education and all society in technology advances.
